Face to Face Photo Book Submissions

One of the things that makes the High Holy Days at Beth Tzedec so remarkable is that they truly are a community celebration. Not only are we coming together to pray and celebrate, but we use the opportunity to reconnect with old friends, break bread with our families and volunteer our time and energy to make the season special.

This year, no matter what the Holy Days look like, we want to capture that feeling of panim el panim, being face to face with our loved ones and our kehillah. Over the last year and a half, we've learned just how important that face to face relationship is.

So please share your face - and a glimpse of your life - with our community! We are asking Beth Tzedec members to share a photo taken this past year and to tell us a bit about themselves at this moment, so that we can share their stories with the community. We'll be compiling your submissions into a digital photo book so that, whether we celebrate online or in-person, we can rejoice in being panim el panim for the High Holy Days and the year to come.

If you need help taking a photo, please contact Chelsea Wolfe at cewolfe01@gmail.com.

Submission Deadline: Monday, July 19

Share Your Face

Please submit a photo of yourself - formal, informal, alone or with loved ones... the specifics are up to you. All we ask is that you include your face!

Kindly upload the highest resolution version of your photo that you have available.

Share Your Story

We're asking everyone who submits a photo for our photo book to respond to a few prompts, as though you were catching up with old friends between High Holy Day services.

Feel free to respond to as many of these prompts as you'd like (only the first one is required!) and we will share one or two of your responses along with your photo. Please note that your responses may be lightly edited for spelling and grammar consistancy.

If these prompts aren't enough and you have a lot more that you'd like to say, please consider submitting something for our annual High Holy Day Reader.
