As we anxiously await the arrival of the Eritrean family sponsored by Beth Tzedec, the BT Refugee Sponsorship Group invites you to join us as we learn about the humanitarian crisis in the Tigray region of Ethiopia and its impact on local civilians and Eritrean refugees. According to the U.N., millions of people in the Tigray region, including Eritrean refugees, are facing famine as a result of the siege imposed by the federal government. 

To help us understand the situation, we have invited Dr. Maereg Adhanom (Ph.D.), an environmentalist with over 27 years of experience in international development, and Yonas (pseudonym), an Eritrean refugee currently residing in Ethiopia. We hope you can join us.
